Reporting to the Manager of Parts & Accessories (P&A) Sales, you will be the only team member responsible for the P&A division's marketing and sales initiatives from concept development through execution. This will include generating new projects, programs, and ideas, as well as running those we have already created.
This is a broad-ranging sales support role, where you’ll touch the areas of marketing, sales operations, product development, pricing, and IT, and will find yourself collaborating cross-functionally with many other teams. For example, you’ll join the meetings with the company’s broader marketing department to champion projects specific to P&A, and will have some support from that marketing team for collateral creation, social media, and more.
You’ll need strong data gathering and analytical skills to do this job well. We use a number of different systems, and you’ll need to learn how to use those to pick up data from multiple sources, create reports, then analyze that data. You’ll also act as the central hub to make sure information going out from P&A is correct, sales sheets and the website are updated, the inventory team is informed, dealer bulletins are completed, and more.
You’ll have a few main areas of responsibility. First, you will create, execute, and manage the P&A Division’s sales and marketing programs for dealers and consumers to maximize profits through sales strategies. Some of your key tasks in this area will be to:
- Develop marketing programs to increase sales to dealers and consumers
- Design retail service marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns
- Manage and modify dealer wholesale seasonal stocking and loyalty programs
- Compose and maintain Accessory Package and Oil Change Kits
- Establish new dealer product orders and auto-ship programs
- Plan, create, and execute additional wholesale and retail programs as determined on an ongoing basis
- Write and proofread creative materials, parts bulletins, and program announcements
- Communicate effectively as a liaison with internal and external customers/dealers/vendors regarding current and future initiatives and distribution details
You will also serve as lead coordinator for P&A Division business development projects and programs, including, but not limited to:
- Dealer merchandising and product training proposals
- Oil & Chemical product category refresh/re-launch (products, branding, merchandising, sponsorships, etc.)
- Data syndication of P&A product attributes to affiliated web partners and dealers
- Commercial/Fleet dealer drop-ship terms, conditions and web/intranet interfaces
- Call center and sales force management software implementation
Another of your main goals will be to develop concepts, and to establish and manage additional traditional P&A marketing activities for the division. In support of this goal, you will:
- Conduct research and analyze data
- Complete social and digital marketing, PR, event marketing, in-store merchandising and promotions, packaging and branding, and more
- Enforce and administrate the MAP (minimum advertised pricing) program
- Complete dealer and retail-based product training
You will also work to formulate, monitor and report out on performance of programs and projects, including:
- Building analytical data needed to measure program success
- Compiling and distributing financial and statistical information to report results to management
