Opportunity Overview

In unstable economic times, Kawasaki offers an uncommon opportunity: we are a stable, successful organization that is more like a "family" than a corporation. We sell fun -- in the form of ATVs, Motorcycles, Utility Vehicles, Watercraft and Power Products -- and "Let the good times roll" is more than just our slogan -- it's how we work.

Here, you'll find a group of people who are truly passionate about the products they promote, and a company that is equally passionate about supporting and developing its employees. For evidence, check out the lengthy list of benefits below. . .from a pension plan to education assistance, it's all there.

Due to a recent promotion, we have an opening in our Kawasaki Motors Finance division for a Senior Collection Supervisor. This important role has responsibility for Collection Accounts, Marginal Accounts and Problem Accounts, and works with our dealers to bring escalated delinquent accounts to resolution.

Our Requirements

Our benefits plan includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) and pension plan, an Employee Assistance Program, education assistance, an Employee Product Purchase Program, and more.

More About Your Role

Reporting to the Manager, Credit Collections, you will join a finance group of approximately 50 people. As an experienced collections professional, it won't be the work that surprises you -- it will be the culture. Some of your peers have been with Kawasaki for 40 years, and some ride their Ninjas to work. It's not uncommon to see racing leathers hanging in our cubicles and to spot the press gathering in the lobby for the kick-off of racing season. The excitement that builds in our racing and marketing departments permeates the entire company -- finance included.

Getting down to business, your role will focus on the collection function within three groups: Collection Accounts, Marginal Accounts and Problem Accounts. Each group has a different level of complexity that ranges from routine collection follow-up calls and working with local attorneys on small collection matters, to having confrontational collection calls resulting in the repossession and commencement of a lawsuit.Quick question for you - click here

Keys to Success

Kawasaki always works to promote our dealers and help them to flourish, but in this role, you have to get tough. Diplomacy, objectivity and grace under pressure are all key skills for a collections professional, and they are important here, too. What will set you apart as a "star performer" however, is your ability to consistently perform at a high level, so that you maintain a strong work ethic and build a reputation for dependability.

You will also draw on your well-developed negotiating skills. You will work with a wide variety of dealers, from large dealerships to small "mom and pop" businesses, and your ability to communicate firmly and fairly at all levels will be essential to your success.

If this sounds like the right mix of challenge and opportunity for you, we look forward to hearing from you!
